Dukhan Petroleum Launches a Hydrocarbons Plant in Alliance with Qatar Energy

Dukhan Petroleum - the leading petrochemical group - announced obtaining the privilege to establish and operate a new plant to refine and process hydrocarbons from oil residues, in alliance with Qatar Energy.
The new hydrocarbons plant was announced during a special ceremony held at Qatar Energy’s headquarters, and the Tawteen certificates pertaining the new project was rewarded to Mr. Khalid Tami Al Hajri, CEO of Dukhan Petroleum.
Mr. Khalid Al Hajri commented on this occasion and praised the new alliance with Qatar Energy which represents a new milestone for Dukhan Petroleum towards expansion in petrochemical projects, which supports investment in national services and industries in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030.
He also emphasized Dukhan Petroleum’s appreciation for the Tawteen initiative and the continuous efforts by Qatar Energy to reinforce investment in national industries and services in general, and petrochemical industries in particular, and to provide the opportunity for the private sector to contribute to developing this important domain. DUPCO is now studying a number of expansion opportunities in the GCC countries, in addition to industrial projects in alliances with international partners.”
